PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE 12 TH ANNUAL BANKING AND FINANCE CONFERENCE

On behalf of the Governing Council of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), the Consultative Committee on the 12 th Annual Banking and Finance Conference and the entire Banking Industry, I sincerely appreciate you for honouring our invitation to this Press Conference.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the purpose of this meeting is to inform you about the 12th Annual Banking and Finance Conference, scheduled for September 24 – 25, 2019 at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. The theme of the Conference is, “The Future of the Nigerian Banking Industry - 360°”.

The Conference is an annual forum of key and respected operators, regulators, policy makers, members of the academia, millennials and other stakeholders in the Banking and Finance Industry to brainstorm on strategic issues that are critical to building a sound and sustainable financial system and economy.

This year’s edition is expected to attract about 1,000 professionals from within and outside Nigeria.

The theme of the Conference, “The Future of the Nigerian Banking Industry - 360°”, is structured to offer direction to Nigerian Banks, Financial Institutions, regulators, policy makers and other stakeholders on how to reposition the Banking and Finance Industry for relevance in the new world order, by leveraging on digitalization, a phenomenon that has brought about a lot of unprecedented disruptive innovations in the Industry.
