The CIBN Mentoring programme is an online mentoring platform that facilitates mentoring for Junior Bankers or inexperienced graduates (mentees), desirous of a professional career in banking and finance and its related fields
The mentoring program aims at empowering our mentees to become more self-driven, chart excellent career paths, develop employable skills, be goal-oriented and create a great passion to succeed in their fields of chosen endeavour. Mentees are assigned suitable Mentors of sterling professional repute. They are confident mentors and mentees will find a balance and succeed together in no time. Their digital solution gives you a unique opportunity of connecting with mentors from the comfort of your living room. Wherever your career aspirations lie - in Investment Banking, Risk Management, Treasury Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Entrepreneurship, Business Development, Research, you name it, we have a mentor for you!

MENTEE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Agree to a one year commitment to the programme. (Minimum of 1hr/week or 2hrs/Month).

Demonstrate willingness to participate in the programme by completing the application form

Abide by all policies and procedures of the scheme

Be committed to discuss participation in the programme

Be confidential and provide adequate information on any concerned issue
-
Attend mentee training sessions as required
-
Complete monthly feedback Form online not later than five (5) days after the end of every month.
MENTOR ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Have the requisite experience of value in the banking profession and the willingness to share it.

Adhere to the Policies and Procedures for CIBN Mentoring Scheme for Members.

Show adequate competence, capability and patience.

Complete the on-line application and screening process.

Agree to invest his/her time in the programme on a regular basis.

Has never been convicted for fraud or related cases which would be confirmed through background checks at the underlisted places:

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
-
Committee of Chief Inspectors of Bank in Nigeria
-
Their employers
-
Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC)

Attend mentor training sessions as prescribed.
