Samuel Aderemi is a banker and an IT Consultant focusing on core banking solution implementation consulting, data management, technology risk, and Fintech. His expertise has been honed through his work with several Banking institutions and consulting firms in Nigeria, the UK, Canada, and the United States of America. He worked with banking institutions such as STB, now UBA, MBC, NDIC, Peak Merchant Bank, EDP Audit in Nigeria, GTBank UK, TD Bank, CWB, ATB, Wipro, and some credit unions in Canada, Varo Bank, and Itua Investment Bank USA to mention a few. A startup training center that provides specialized business analysis with related IT variants focusing on banking, finance, accounting, and e-commerce. He serves as vice chair of the CIBN Canada Branch(2020-2024) and a member of the CIBN’s Membership Development and Service Committee(2022-2024). Additionally, he is an active member of several professional associations, including ICAN, IIBA, PMI, ISACA, IEEE, and the British Computer Society. Mr. Adeyemo A Adeoye currently serves as the Managing Director/CEO of CHEN & ELEOS Capital Limited. Adeyemo brings over two decades of practical Banking experience, traversing several segments of the Nigerian Banking and Financial services industry, to the steering of the company’s day-to-day operations as well as providing quintessential navigation for the tactical direction of the various business segments. He resigned from FCMB (First City Monument Bank), Lagos, Nigeria in September, 2018 where he headed Commercial Banking (for Ikeja) to join Chen & Eleos Capital, in October, 2018, as the pioneer MD/CEO. However, prior to that, he worked in some Commercial banks in diverse leadership and strategic roles. His depth of experience covers Retail & Consumer Banking, Credit & Relationship Management, Treasury & Product development, Branch coordination and leadership roles, as well as other spheres of Commercial Banking.
Since joining the company as the pioneer MD/CEO in 2018, he has successfully originated and participated in numerous high-volume, high-valued, multidimensional and complex financial transactions, which has led to significant yearon-year growth in the company’s financial performance, as well as refocused the company’s Consumer Finance businesses, and the Financial Advisory Services segment. He has also initiated and led a commendable business and revenue diversification model to strengthen revenue-growth and lay a firm footing for the company’s financial future.

Mr. Akande Solomon, ACIB has a distinguished career in the banking industry, characterized by integrity and honesty. He began his banking career in 1992 with the Bank of Credit and Commerce International in Nigeria, which later became African International Bank. Over the years, he joined two other new generation banks and steadily rose through the ranks to become a Branch Manager.
Currently, Mr. Akande is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Sugarworld International Limited. He is married to Mrs. Faith Akande, an internationally acclaimed baker, and they are blessed with two children.

Nkwachukwu Njoku is a Nigerian Multi-Disciplinary Professional. He is the C.E.O of PROMISE ABG PROFESSIONALS LTD (Tax, finance and banking consultants and trainers). He was the Group Internal Auditor of Fymak Group of Companies, Lekki Lagos and a Resident Auditor as well as Assistant Control and Compliance Manager in Fidelity Bank PLC.
He also attended the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma and the Lagos State University, Ojo where he obtained B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management respectively.

Brief History Of Cibn Rivers State
The CIBN PH (as it then was called) was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Juliet Madubueze, FCIB, then AGM/DGM in charge of UBN Eastern Zone. The branch had its operating office at the Union Bank Training School, Trans Amadi Port Harcourt (then also serving as the exam centre for the State).
Sometimes in July, 1998, the first election for branch Executive Committee was held with Mr. (now Sir. Dr) ANC Onwuliri, FCIB, as the first branch Chairman and Mr. Steve NWULU, FCIB, as the General Secretary. This EXCO hosted the 5th Annual Bankers Conference (Now Annual Banking and Finance Conference) in September 1999 at the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
The administration lasted till 2004, when Dr. Uche Olowu took over, still with Steve NWULU as the General Secretary. Dr. Uche Olowu led till 2008 and handed over to Mr. Charles Ibi who was then the Branch Controller of Central Bank of Nigeria Port Harcourt Branch.
Mr. Ibi was in charge of the branch till 2011 when another election was held at the Union Bank office Trans Amadi during which Mr. Boniface Chukwuka, ACIB was elected as Chairman with Clem Osuji as his First Vice Chairman
The operating office remained at the Union Bank building Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt where Mr. Osuji took over sometime in July 2017 through an election held at the UST (Banking and Finance Dept hall). His first term in office ended in 2019 and re-elected for another term during the AGM/election of Officers held that year at PAKIRI hotel, Stadium Road, PHC.
His tenure ended in 2021 with AGM/Election of Officers which was held on 22nd January 2022 during where the present executive led by Nkwachukwu Njoku, ACIB as the chairman.
Barr. Charles Ojakovo, HCIB, FICMC is a lawyer and a Banker. He is presently a Group Head with Heritage Bank Plc. He is a graduate of Banking and Finance. He also Studied Law in the University of Benin. He was called to Nigerian Bar as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has over 25 years Banking Experience. He has worked in several Banks, UBA, STB International Continental Bank, and others and in various departments. He has attending various courses at home and abroad in his chosen profession of Banking. He is married with Children.

Mr. Ugochukwu Okonkwo, ACIB, currently serves as the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Bayelsa State Branch. He previously held the positions of General Secretary from 2018 to 2022 and 1st Vice Chairman from 2022 to 2024.
During Mr. Okonkwo's tenure as General Secretary, the CIBN Bayelsa State Branch introduced proctored tests as a prerequisite for Diet sponsorship. This initiative helped the branch achieve second place for two consecutive years.
Mr. Okonkwo holds a BSc in Economics from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, an MBA in Management from Imo State University, and an MSc in Management, Economics & International Relations from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
With nearly twenty years of experience in the banking and financial services sectors in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, Mr. Okonkwo has worked with prestigious institutions such as Stanbic IBTC Bank, Barclays Bank, and the Central Bank of Nigeria. The Branch was officially inaugurated by Mazi O.C.K. Unegbu (the then President/Chairman of Council of the Institute) on July 14, 2003, under the Chairmanship of Mr Iferi Ujong, (then Chairman Bankers Committee, Yenagoa). The Branch started as a baby of the Bankers Committee and was run by the Executive Members of the then Bankers Committee, Yenagoa. Mr. Emmanuel Ekpenisi later took over from Mr. Iferi Ujon and continued to coordinate the affairs of the CIBN Branch till 2008. The 1st Branch AGM was held on 7th August 2008 and Mr. Emmanuel Ekpenisi emerged as the first Chairman of the Branch while Mr.Eroge Anderson became the Branch 1st General Secretary. On January 2011 Mr. Pere F.K. Agedah, ACIB became the Branch Ag. Chairman and Mr. Patrick Ologidi, Ag. General Secretary because of the official transfer of the Chairman and the General Secretary out of Bayelsa Branch. 2nd AGM of the Branch was held on 12 December 2013 and Mr. Bestman Azebi, FCIB emerged as the Branch Chairman and Mr. Igboko Sunny K. was elected as the Branch General Secretary. 3rd AGM/Elections of the Branch were held on 21 March 2016 and Mr. Bestman Azebi was returned as the Chairman of the Branch till date.
4th AGM/Elections of the Branch was held on March 22nd 2018 and Mr Ikechukwu Okeke emerged as Chairman of the institute for a 2 year tenure. 5TH AGM/Elections of the Branch was held on March 15th 2020 and Mr Ikechukwu Okeke was returned as the chairman of the institute till 2022. On April 21st, 2022, the 6th AGM/Elections was held and Mr Osareme Santos Ijiekhuamhen was elected as the chairman of the Branch till date

The CIBN Bayelsa Branch Branch visited and had interactive session with the Banking and Finance students at Niger Delta University (NDU) on January 30, 2023. The CIBN Bayelsa Branch Branch visited and had interactive session with the Banking and Finance students at Federal University Otuoke on January 30, 2023. The CIBN Bayelsa Branch Branch had a public awareness engagement at Swali market Yenagoa on the CBN currency design policy on January 23rd, 2023, to January 28th 2023 at 8:30am daily.

Emmanuel Ikpe Michael was born and raised in Nsit Atai Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. He is a holder of B.Sc. (Hons.) Degree in Accounting, MBA Finance and Ph.D. in Banking and Finance. He is a Chartered Banker being an associate member of the revered Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Financial Managers (FIPFM).
He is not merely a book banker but an expert having worked with various banks including the defunct Citizens International Bank Limited, Access Bank, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and Fidelity Bank Plc. He served as Relationship Manager (Branch Manager), Head of Credit and Marketing, Head, Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking and Public Sector Groups. He also served as Profit Center Manager for Public Sector and Consumer Banking Groups.
He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance of the University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria, where he teaches, conducts research and carries out community development services within and outside the University.

Akwa Ibom Branch Branch of the Institute was formally launched on Saturday, March 23, 1991, at the Branch Governor's Office Annex, Uyo, Akwa Ibom Branch. Following the launch, Mr. Linus Ndukanjor Onuoha of UBA emerged as the pioneer Branch Chairman alongside Mr. Anthony Edmond Udom who emerged as General Secretary. Yaacoub began his educational journey at Jamat ul Islamiyyah primary school, Ikorodu in 1981. He proceeded to Shams el Deen Grammar School, Ikorodu Lagos for his secondary education in 1987 and obtained his WASSCE certificate in 1993.

He furthered his education at Ondo State Polytechnic, now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, in 1999, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy in 2001. He then advanced to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, earning both a Postgraduate Diploma and a master’s degree in finance. Additionally, he pursued a degree in Accounting at Fountain University, Osogbo, graduating with a Second Class Upper in 2017.
Mr. Yacoub holds multiple professional certifications, having passed the qualifying examinations of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control.
In his banking career, he has excelled in leadership roles, starting as Branch IT Support staff in First Bank Oluyole estate branch, Ibadan, Relationship Officer at First Bank Ede branch, Business Manager, Inisha branch, Business Manager, Gbongan Road branch, Osogbo of First Bank and currently, he serves under the Public Sector Directorate of the Bank, where he oversees government-related financial transactions in Osun and Ekiti States.
Adebayo Z. Yaacoub is not only a seasoned professional but also a dedicated philanthropist with establishment of Izzatul lahi Islamic foundation for promotion of education, skills acquisition and entrepreneurship. CIBN Osun State Branch held its Annual Dinner and Stakeholders Interactive Session with the President/Chairman of the Council on June 23, 2021. The Branch premise was originally at 18A Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ayetoro, Osogbo, Osun State. We later bought a piece of land at Okitipupa Abere Osogbo adjacent to the Central Bank of Nigeria, Osogbo Branch, and near the Osun State Government Secretariat, Osogbo.
We relocated to Plot 8, Adesina Crescent, GRA, Oke-fia Osogbo in the year 2014. Yearly participation in the Osun State post-budget appraisal analysis. We won a trophy as the best Branch among the community of Branches at the Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja in 2009. We held a stakeholders’ meeting at the CBN Osun State Branch on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Visitation programme of Dr. Olusegun Aina, the National President at Gazal Holiday Inn, Dada Estate, Osogbo on Thursday, May 24, 2012. We discussed issues with our purchased landed property certificate of occupancy (C of O), in which we attempted to see the Chief of Staff on the same day on November 1, 2012.
We hosted the president/chairman of council, Dr. Segun Aina OFR, FCIB, to the commissioning of the South-West Zonal office on Thursday, May 6, 2014, at 8 Adesina Crescent, GRA, Oke-fia Osogbo. We paid courtesy calls to both Fountain University and Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) on Tuesday, September 8, 2014, and Wednesday 10, 2014, respectively. Visitation to the late Akirun of Ikirun, April 28, 2015. We organised AGM/ Election of officers to usher in Sir Faponhunda on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at CIBN Zonal Secretariat, GRA, Osogbo. We attended the maiden lecture of the Faculty of Social and Management Science at Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, to honour our president on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016.
We had AGM/Election for Mr. Sunday Sasona, on 28th October 2018 at the South-West Zonal office, GRA, Oke-fia Osogbo/ Dinner on Friday, April 27th, 2018. We visited HOD Banking & Finance, Federal Polytechnic Ede on August 21, 2019, for the sensitisation of members therein. Ditto for Fountain University, Osogbo, on March 19, 2019. Regularly since 2009, we have engaged students on tutorials/lectures to facilitate their learning for exam success.

Mr. Lekan Stephen Olarewaju, FCIB, has a first degree in Agricultural Economics and second degree in Business Administration from ABU Zaria and University of Ilorin respectively. He had a banking experience spanning 28 years at Afribank, SGBN and First bank of Nigeria, where he retired as a Senior Manager in the year 2019. He is Currently the financial controller of Sadola Pharmacy Ltd and the Chairman of the Kwara State Branch of the CIBN. He is vastly exposed to SME and Agric financing and control when he was with FBN. He was the CIBN Branch auditor in the Exco of 2015-2017 set and has served in various committees within CIBN Kwara State Branch. Delivered a career talk at Deeper Life High School, Eyenkorin Ilorin. Participated in the Southwest Zone quarterly meetings of the Branch Chairmen and Secretaries. Mr. Chidiebere Ogbogu, FCIB, is a well-rounded banker with over 25 years of experience in commercial banking (Operations and Credit) and microfinance banking.
He is now a consultant with particular emphasis on training and policy development.
He is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) on the Board of Polyunwana Microfinance Bank Ltd. Elected an Associate in 2008, invested in a Fellow in 2021.
He has been an active member of the Ebonyi State Branch. He served as First Vice Chairman for two terms, 2020-2022 and 2022 to 2024.
He is the current Chairman of CIBN, Ebonyi State Branch.
BRIEF PROFILE OF THE BRANCH
The Branch was created on October 12, 2019, following a successful election of the Branch Executive, who took over from the Caretaker Committee. The Branch was officially inaugurated on February 20, 2021, by the then President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Bayo Olugbemi, FCIB.
The Pioneer Branch Chairman was Dr. Livinus Okpara Onu, FCIB, and Mr. Paul Ezejitu, MCIB, was the General Secretary.
The Branch held its maiden Annual General Meeting on February 25, 2022, and Dr. Livinus Okpara Onu, FCIB, was re-elected for a second tenure.
On March 7, 2024, Mr. Chidiebere Ogbogu, FCIB, was successfully elected as the branch's current Chairman for a two-year tenure.

Mbanefo, Patrick Amaechi, Ph.D, ACA, FCIB, hails from Anambra State, Nigeria and holds a Bachelor's Degree, Master’s Degree and Doctorate Degree in Banking and Finance. He is a consummate Banker, having worked in the Banking Industry for over two decades. He started his banking career with the United Bank for Africa Plc, where he rose to the position of Senior Manager, and later worked for Savannah Bank Plc, ACB International Bank and Oceanic International Bank, where he rose to the position of Assistant General Manager
Dr. Patrick Mbanefo has built up capacities in General Bank Management, Bank Lending and Project Financing, Banking Laws and Practices, Business Policy and Strategic Management, Risk Management, Entrepreneurial and Human Capital Development and has presented papers in several tertiary institutions and published several articles in those fields.
Dr. Patrick Mbanefo is currently a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, where he serves the University, Faculty and Department in several committees and at different capacities, including the CIBN - Unizik Linkage Programme, as the Chairman.
Dr. Patrick Mbanefo was a Resource Member for the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the review of the Banking and Finance Curriculum for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in January 2023 and represented the Institute in the Accreditation Programme of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri.
Dr. Patrick Mbanefo has attended several basic, intermediate, supervisory and management courses locally and internationally and has strong passion for the up-scaling and retooling of youth skills and capacities to engender sustainable growth and development.

The Branch started as a Chapter with the coming together of some fellows and Associates of the Institute in Awka, Anambra State and held its general/inaugural meeting on April 12, 1992, under the Chairmanship of Mr. M.M. Nweke, ACIB and Prince M.E. Emechebe, as the General Secretary. The Branch was officially inaugurated as a Chapter on December 17, 1994, by Mr. J. O. Ekundayo, FCIB (the then President/Chairman of Council of the Institute) under the Chairmanship of Mr. Dadson O. C. Wakalo, ACIB.

The Branch was inaugurated by Mazi O.C.K. Unegbu, FCIB (the then President/Chairman of Council) on 17 July 2003 under the Chairmanship of Mr. Richard C. Harrison, ACIB. During the Annual General Meeting /Elections held on 12 April 2008, Mr. F.I. Okeke, ACIB emerged the Branch Chairman During 12 August 2010 Annual General Meeting /Elections, Mr. Chidi D. Nwachukwu, ACIB emerged as the Branch Chairman Mr. Chidi D. Nwachukwu, FCIB was re-elected on 19 September 2013 Annual General Meeting /Elections. December 17, 2015, Branch Annual General Meeting/Elections, Mr. Olalekan Akomolafe, ACIB, emerged as the Branch Chairman.
The Branch 2018 Annual General Meeting/Election brought in Mrs. Veronica Aqua, HCIB, the CBN Branch Controller Umuahia as Chairman.
In 2020, another CBN Branch Controller, Mr. Onyeka Michael Ogbu, HCIB, was duly elected as the Branch Chairman for a 2-year tenure. Currently, the Branch held its Annual General Meeting/Elections on December 10, 2022, and Princess Roseline Chinenye Maxwell Ogalabu, FCIB, became the Branch Chairman for a 2-year tenure.
The Branch Annual General Meeting & Elections held December 14, 2024, brought in Mr. Camillus Damian Ogonnaya Ogbuagu, HCIB, the Head of Development Finance, Central Bank of Nigeria, as the current Chairman for 2 -years tenure.

Shehu Alhaji Goringo, a Nigerian native born on October 25, 1965, in Nasarawa, hails from the same state. He is a dedicated family man, embracing the role of a loving husband and father to his children. Shehu embarked on his educational journey at the University of Sokoto, where he dedicated himself to undergraduate studies from 1985 to 1988. Over the years, his quest for knowledge led him to Ahmadu Bello University in Jos in 2010, and later, in 2013, he continued his academic pursuits at the University of Jos.
Throughout his educational journey, Shehu achieved remarkable milestones. He successfully obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies in 1988. Further enhancing his academic qualifications, he earned a Master of Banking and Finance (MBF) in 1994. His commitment to education continued to shine as he achieved a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2013.
Shehu Alhaji Goringo's career has primarily revolved around the Central Bank of Nigeria, where he has served diligently since 1991. Shehu has held pivotal roles in this esteemed institution that reflects his dedication and expertise. These roles include Head of Clearing, Head of Banking Operations, Head of Branch Support, and Branch Controller in Gombe. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he ascended to the position of Deputy Director.
As a testament to his commitment to professionalism and his field of expertise, Shehu became a member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) in 2007. Furthermore, in 2021, he was honoured with an honorary membership (HCIB) from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN)
Beyond his professional commitments, Shehu Alhaji Goringo has a wide array of personal interests and hobbies. He enjoys sports such as football, basketball, and long tennis. These hobbies reveal his active and well-rounded lifestyle.

Brief Profile of The Branch
The Gombe State branch was officially commissioned and inaugurated in March 2014. This expansion was driven by the increasing membership base, underlining the necessity to be in closer proximity to our members. Furthermore, the branch played a significant role by actively participating in the coordination of the institute's activities within the state.
The first executive committee members of the branch included Mr. I. K. Jatau as the Chairman and Mr. Mahmud Abba Misau as the Secretary-General. Other exco members are Muhammad Kabir Muazu, Hajiya Amina Mailafia, Alhaji Sani Bashir Ali, Mr Richard Samson, Hassan Inuwa, Shehu Garun Baba Their dedication and leadership have been instrumental in steering the branch toward its objectives.

Alhaji Saka Ganiyu Abiodun, born on December 25, 1958, into a family of seven, hails from Ibokun in Osun State. His father worked as a trader, while his mother was a professional food vendor. He completed his primary education at Ibadan City Council Primary School, Kings Barrack, Okebola, Ibadan in 1973. He went on to pursue his secondary education at Renascent High School, Aremo Ibadan, graduating with a Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1979.
Following a change in the school system, he worked as an auxiliary teacher at Local Education Authority Primary School in Agugu, Ibadan, before securing a position with Co-operative Bank Limited, where he engaged in banking clerical work. He later moved to the United Kingdom in April 1982 to undertake professional banking studies at Broadwater College of Banking, completing the program in a remarkable three years.
Upon his return to Nigeria in 1986, he served with First Bank at the Maiduguri branch. He later joined the staff of Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, in 1987, where he dedicated his service until his retirement at the age of 60 in December 2018.
Abiodun holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from the University of Maiduguri, which he obtained in 2002, and an MSc in Business Administration from the National Open University in 2019. He is a dedicated educationist and a member of various professional organizations, including the Institute of Management Specialists (1983), Chartered Institute of Bankers, London (1987), and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (1992). Additionally, he serves as an examiner for several examination bodies in the country.
His academic contributions include textbooks like "Commerce for West Africa" and "Public Finance in Nigeria." He has also authored projects and thesis, such as "Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Nigeria: Problems and Prospects" and "The Effect of Foreign Exchange Fluctuation on the Performance of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Borno State. " Abiodun has published articles in journals, addressing topics like reducing poverty through small-scale industrial strategies, the application of capital budgeting techniques, the impact of an unstable foreign exchange regime on small and medium-scale enterprises, and corporate social responsibility.
Alhaji Saka Ganiyu Abiodun is a family man, happily married with children.

In March 2014, the Borno State branch embarked on a truly inspiring journey, officially commissioned and inaugurated to address the growing needs of our ever-expanding membership. The primary goal was to bring us closer to our esteemed members, and this milestone was nothing short of extraordinary.
This branch assumed a pivotal role, actively orchestrating and coordinating the institute's efforts within the state, thus leaving an indelible mark on our collective mission.
Leading this remarkable venture were the initial executive committee members, with the illustrious Mr. Nwankwo P. C serving as the Chairman, Mr. Bukar Mustapha as the 1st Vice Chairman, Aliyu Biuy as the 2nd Vice Chairman, Mr. Saka Ganiyu, ACIB, as the Secretary, Alima Sam as the Treasurer, and Olugu Emmanuel as the Financial Secretary. Additionally, a representative of the National Secretariat, Mr. Ralph Osayameh, was present.

A distinguished individual born on June 15, 1960, in Azare, Bauchi, Nigeria, boasts an impressive academic and professional journey. With an MBA, MSC, BSC, MNIM to his name, Kabir is a highly motivated individual equipped with exceptional managerial, interpersonal, and communication skills. His career reflects a passion for meeting challenging deadlines with integrity and accountability.
Kabir's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto (1999-2000), a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the same institution (1997-1998), an MSc in Agricultural Engineering from Cranfield University Siloe Bedford, UK (1988-1990), and a BSc in Agricultural (Second Class Upper Division) from the University of Maiduguri (1980-1984). He also holds certifications in Banking and Finance, Agriculture, and Management.
His professional journey encompasses roles at esteemed institutions. Notably, he served as the Chairman/CEO of Manka Ventures Limited from April 2012 to the present, leading project management, construction, estate management, and general contracting efforts. Prior to this, he held the position of Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Zenith Bank Plc from August 2003 to April 2012, where he played a key role in branch management and marketing.
Kabir's contributions extend to the financial and banking sector as he worked as a Relationship Manager at FSB International Bank Plc from 2001 to 2003, coordinating the development of new branches. He also had a distinguished tenure at Savannah Bank of Nigeria Plc, where he held various roles, including Business Development Manager and Duty Manager.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kabir is an active member of the community. He has served as the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) in Bauchi Branch and contributed to the CBN Cleaning House Committee. He is a founding member of the Bauchi Corporate Group and has held the position of Auditor General for the Katagum Students Association. Additionally, he has played a vital role in afforestation and regional workshops to combat desert encroachment.
With a rich history of professional and community involvement, Kabir Mohammed Baba is a well-rounded individual with a passion for excellence in all his endeavours. He is happily married with children.
Brief Profile Of CIBN Bauchi State Branch
The CIBN Bauchi State Branch was inaugurated in 2014, with Mr. J. A. Dada of the Central Bank of Nigeria serving as the pioneer Chairman, Mr. Yakubu Dika of United Bank for Africa as the secretary, and Dr. Audu Dangana as the treasurer.
The Branch is a proactive and dedicated branch. Its primary objectives are to boost membership, uphold the institute's reputation, and establish itself as a recognized professional body within the state.
The Branch's core mission revolves around preserving the principles of the CIBN through continuous growth and brand development. This is achieved through ongoing stakeholder engagement, unique annual bankers' forums, corporate social and environmental responsibility initiatives, career talks, mentorship for aspiring professionals, annual lectures, dinners, and other activities.
These efforts aim to enhance the membership base, promote banking education, maintain professional excellence, and uphold ethical standards in the state. Furthermore, the Branch actively participates in national events.

Born on November 25, 1965, Alhaji Abdulrahman Anono embarked on an educational and professional journey that has profoundly influenced his life. His educational path commenced at St. Paul's Primary School Okengwe, where he dedicated himself from 1971 to 1976. Subsequently, he continued his studies at Okene Secondary School, where he pursued his education from 1977 to 1981. In 1982, he furthered his academic pursuits at Kwara State College of Technology, where he obtained an Ordinary Diploma in Banking and Finance (OND) and successfully completed the program in 1985.
Following this, he briefly joined the ranks of Union Bank Nigeria Plc before enrolling at the prestigious University of Maiduguri. In 1996, he accomplished his first degree, majoring in Banking and Finance. Mr Anono furthered his academic journey by becoming a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria in 1987 during his tenure at the commercial bank.
His quest for knowledge led him back to the University of Maiduguri, where he successfully obtained a Master’s degree (MSc.) in Finance in 2015. Subsequently, he pursued a Ph.D. in Finance from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi (ATBU), in 2017. Notably, he assumed the role of Pioneer Head of the Department of Banking and Finance at Federal University of Technology Yola now Modibbo Adama University Yola in 2012.
In addition to his academic achievements, Mr. Anono obtained professional certifications, including becoming a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) in 2021 and attaining Senior Fellow status with the Chartered Institute of Loans and Risks Management of Nigeria (CILRM).
At present, Mr. Anono serves as the Chairman of the Adamawa State branch of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He finds great joy in his personal life as a happily married individual with four children.

The imperative was to bring us closer to our esteemed members, and this milestone was nothing short of extraordinary.
This branch assumed a pivotal role, actively orchestrating and coordinating the institute's endeavors within the state, thus leaving an indelible mark on our collective mission.
At the helm of this remarkable venture were the first executive committee members, led by the illustrious Mr. Ikeghagu Chukwudi, who served as the pioneer Chairman, and other executive committee members who took on the roles of Secretary-General, Treasurer, and other key positions.

Akinsola Olubusola, ACIB, is a highly accomplished banking professional with over 15 years of experience spanning retail banking, digital transformation, relationship management, and strategic marketing within Nigeria’s financial services sector. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Sokoto State Branch, where he is at the forefront of driving professional excellence, ethical banking standards, and stakeholder engagement across the state.
He holds a Higher National Diploma in Accounting, a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance, and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB), a testament to his commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to global standards in banking practice.
Akinsola began his banking career at First Bank of Nigeria in 2008, where he served as a Marketing Associate. In this role, he developed a solid foundation in financial product promotion, customer acquisition, and frontline service delivery. He later joined Unity Bank in 2015 as a Relationship Officer, where he was instrumental in managing key client accounts and providing tailored financial solutions to a broad customer base. Since 2019, he has been with Keystone Bank as a Business Partner in Retail and Digital Banking. In this capacity, he has played a significant role in implementing innovative banking solutions, enhancing customer experience, and expanding access to digital financial services in underserved communities.
As Chairman of the CIBN Sokoto State Branch, Akinsola Olubusola is deeply committed to professional mentorship, capacity building, and advancing the role of banking in national development. His leadership is marked by a passion for innovation, a strong ethical compass, and a focus on sustainable growth through strategic partnerships and inclusive financial practices.
The Kebbi State Branch of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) was established in 2024 following the approval of the Institute’s Governing Council. This initiative, coordinated by the North-West Zonal Office, began with a virtual meeting held on May 2, 2024, where members in Kebbi State discussed the framework and strategic direction for setting up the new Branch. The first physical meeting was subsequently held on May 23, 2024, at the Banking and Finance Department of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi. During this meeting, an interim Executive Committee was constituted and given a one-year transitional mandate to build a solid foundation, foster stakeholder engagement, and promote the visibility of the Institute within the state. The official inauguration and swearing-in of this interim committee took place on June 29, 2024.
In its early months, the Branch made significant strides to establish itself by conducting familiarization visits to various financial institutions across the state. On July 31, 2024, the Executives visited branches of GTBank, Keystone Bank, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Zenith Bank, First Bank, Access Bank, Bank of Agriculture, and the Bank of Industry. They also visited the Head of Department of Banking and Finance at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic to introduce the Branch and initiate partnerships with the academic community. To assert its presence at the national level, the Branch was physically represented at two major events: the 17th Annual Banking and Finance Conference held on September 10–11, 2024, in Abuja, and the CIBN Annual Bankers’ Dinner hosted at Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos. The Branch also engaged in high-level consultations, including a strategic discussion on October 16, 2024, with Alhaji D.M. Abdullahi, Branch Controller of the Central Bank of Nigeria, to explore collaborative opportunities for advancing banking practice in Kebbi State. The pioneer Interim Chairman of the Branch is Dr. Adeyemi Sayeed Oluwole, FCIB.
Looking ahead, the Branch has developed a comprehensive agenda for subsequent years aimed at strengthening operations, expanding its membership, and enhancing its relevance within the banking ecosystem of Kebbi State. Key plans include organizing its maiden Annual General Meeting in June 2025, during which substantive Executive Committee members will be elected. To support student members, the Branch will collaborate with the Lagos State Branch to offer virtual preparatory lectures to help improve performance in professional examinations. Membership expansion will be pursued through a robust membership drive and sustained stakeholder engagement.
Brief Profile of the Branch
CIBN KATSINA Branch was established in September 2018 with the pioneer Excos under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar Hamman Joda, the then CBN Branch Controller with Mustapha Buba Ahmed, ACIB as his 1st Vice Chairman while Mueez Gafar as the Secretary of the Branch.
The Branch quickly established a study centre at Little Angels International Schools, Katsina before the end of 2018 to prepare candidates for the April Diet of the 2019 CIBN Exams. From its inception, the Branch had always been on its toes to reach out and create awareness about the institute in Katsina State. In so doing, a range of Yearly activities were introduced and adopted.
They include Minimum of 4 Quarterly Meetings, Minimum of 4 Career Talks, Financial Institutions, Sports Event, Study classes for April and October diets, Courtesy visits, Corporate Social Responsibility, Annual Lecture, Annual Dinner
So far, the Branch boasts a total of over 313 members with an average yearly increase of around 13%. The Branch also reactivates an average of 10 dormant members on a yearly basis.
There also linkage programme with Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina while an MOU is been executed with the Al-Qalam University, Katsina.

The chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria Kano Branch has been in existence from the 1980`s promoting professional excellence in the Banking industry in Kano.

The Branch hosted and accompanied the President and Chairman of Council Dr. Bayo Olugbemi, FCIB during the various stakeholder engagements when he visited Kano state to conduct the Kano State Polytechnic Ground-breaking Ceremony, these include Bayero University, Kano, Yusuf Maitama Sule University, The Emir of Kano Palace, The Branch Controller of Central Bank of Nigeria Kano and the Zonal Controller of NDIC, Kano on April 11, 2022.
Kano Branch participated in the Kano state polytechnic ground-breaking ceremony for the construction Mini Hall at the School of Management Studies, Kano State Polytechnic April 12, 2022, Kano State Branch attended the Linkage Committee meeting of Kano State Polytechnic and held a session with the HND 11 Students on the importance of writing the Institute Examinations for the October diet.

Yusuf Ahmed Gyallesu is a seasoned banker, professional accountant, and accomplished administrator with over 35 years of experience across the Nigerian banking sector and development landscape. His rich professional journey spans the commercial, merchant, mortgage, and microfinance sub-sectors of the banking industry. Beyond banking, he has made significant contributions to the development sector, having served with prominent international projects such as the European Union PRIME Project in Kaduna State, Fhi360’s SIDHAS Project in Kano State, and the MAPS Project in Kebbi State.
Academically, Yusuf holds a Master’s Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Banking and Finance, both from Bayero University, Kano. He also earned a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Kano State Polytechnic and a National Diploma in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His professional qualifications are extensive and distinguished. He is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria (CILRMN). In recognition of his contributions to the banking industry, he was conferred with the Honorary Senior Member (HCIB) designation by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria in 2023. He is also a Microfinance Certified Professional (MCIB) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI). In 2012, he was registered as a Professional Accountant with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN).
Further emphasizing his commitment to professional excellence, Yusuf is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (FIMCN), both earned in 2022. His international exposure includes participation in high-level training programs, making him an alumnus of the prestigious Boulder Institute of Microfinance in Turin, Italy (2011), the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany (2021), and the Kenya School of Monetary Studies under the African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (AFRACA), Nairobi, Kenya (2022).
Yusuf is a certified trainer and seasoned faculty/resource person, actively involved in capacity building for several reputable institutions including the National Association of Microfinance Banks (NAMB), the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Microfinance Learning and Development Centre Ltd (MLDC), Rural Women Energy Security Initiative (RUWES), Opportunity International (UK), and his own consultancy firm, GYAFIN Consults.
He has held several strategic leadership and advisory roles. Yusuf served as the National President of the National Association of Microfinance Banks from 2020 to 2022 and was a Council Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria during the same period. Between 2022 and 2024, he served on the Capacity Building and Certification Committee of CIBN. He is currently a member of the Adhoc Monitoring Committee on the Actualization of the President/Chairman of Council’s LEGACY Agenda. He is also a member of the National Financial Inclusion Technical Committee and the Kaduna State Financial Inclusion Steering Committee (FISSCO), contributing to key policy and implementation strategies for financial inclusion in Nigeria. In addition, he holds the position of Vice President of Kaduna Club and is the current Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) Kaduna State Branch, a role he assumed in 2024.
Yusuf was part of the AFOS–MLDC European Exposure Trip to Germany and Luxembourg in 2020, where he explored global best practices in microfinance. He is also a vibrant member of various sports and social clubs including Kano Club, Kano Golf Club, Zaria Golf Club, Kaduna Club, UNTL Kaduna Sports Club, the A.B.U. Zaria Senior Staff Club, and the 1st Division Army Officers’ Mess Sports Club in Kaduna.
Currently, Yusuf Ahmed Gyallesu serves as the Managing Consultant of GYAFIN Consults, a firm specializing in financial and management consultancy services. He is happily married with children and enjoys traveling, playing tennis, golf, and swimming.
Professor Ibrahim Muhammad Adam holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna. He is a Professor of Development Economics at the Federal University Dutse (FUD), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB), a Fellow of the Nigerian Economic Society (FMNES), and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM).
His career began in academia in 1996 at Kano State Polytechnic. In 1999, he transitioned into banking, joining First Bank of Nigeria Plc as an Executive Graduate Trainee. Over a successful decade-long stint, he rose to the position of Senior Manager and Head of First Bank Academy, Kano, overseeing training for the entire Northwest zone. He also had brief professional engagements with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and Unity Bank Plc between 2010 and 2011.
With over 23 years of combined experience in teaching, research, and community service, Professor Adam has made significant contributions to academia. He has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications globally. His research interests span Entrepreneurship Management, Innovation and Startup Development, Development Economics, and Financial Economics.
At FUD, he has held several key positions, including two-time Head of the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Deputy Director of Academic Services at the Consultancy Services Unit, and immediate past Director of the Centre for Social and Economic Research (CSER). He currently serves as Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development (CEED) and is also the State Chairman of both the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and the Nigerian Economic Society (NES) in Jigawa State.
Professor Adam has won numerous awards and research grants, including six (6) from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and a prestigious national research grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) on Financial Inclusive Systems in Northern Nigeria.
He leads the university-based social enterprise initiative, CEED-YELF, which empowers rural communities—especially women and youth—through culturally grounded entrepreneurial ventures. The project has successfully developed and commercialized over 30 products based on the unique resource endowments of host communities, creating sustainable jobs and income for more than 500 beneficiaries.
Driven by a passion for a globally competitive Nigeria, Professor Adam champions inclusive, innovation-driven entrepreneurship as a pathway to poverty alleviation, self-reliance, and sustainable development. His current research focuses on financial inclusion and pro-poor financial sector deepening through the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) framework
